the exhibition “something within us that is not us” is concerned with the possibility that the act of fictioning can produce alternative realities and establish new perspectives. the story unfolds in the campsite of a traveler journeying between worlds.
the community of z0i lives in harmony with the movements of celestial bodies, sustaining a mode of existence free from conflict. at times they settle as large communities, at times they disperse by dividing themselves into nomadic groups, and at times they risk drifting alone in the solitude of anomaly.
communication in moments of togetherness takes place through an untraceable flow woven from layered metaphors. this communication does not always tell the truth, yet it is truthful. the place where care is devoted to the beautiful and elevated forms of lie is the fluid and shifting space where the community unfolds its speech.
their contact with worlds reflects the nature of their language. the only law they recognize is the law of absolute change. to become part of it, they create hybrid beings from creatures across the universe who are willing to learn their language and to teach their own. through linguistic rituals they encourage genealogical differentiation, offering these transformations as gifts dedicated to change itself.
since time folds differently in every curvature of the universe,
